Function meets dirt: The Canyon Grail Gravel bike series

The new Canyon Grail gravel series bikes as built for racing, but they come with some really smart stand out features. Like integrated storage in the frame. I’d say this is genius-level design, bike frames are hollow and that space usually does not serve any purpose, now Canyon shows that you can actually make use of it!

The unique design allows you to securely stash an inner tube, levers, and inflator in a special noise-dampening pouch, while your mini tool and pump lock into an integrated hatch within the downtube.

Design that gives more speed

Gravel racing is road racing on dirt. You need aero, you need light, and you need to ride through the rough stuff without losing momentum.

The Grail’s new tube shapes, updated seatpost, and fully integrated cables create a complete aerodynamic system. Wind tunnel testing shows serious watt savings. That’s the difference between getting dropped and doing the dropping.

Ride it like you stole it

Winning gravel bikes don’t just go fast. They stay stable when things get sketchy. Canyon spent hundreds of hours testing adjustable geometry on real gravel roads.

The result: a 27mm longer wheelbase, one-degree slacker headtube, and extended fork offset. The Grail tracks straight through gnarly gravel without that twitchy road-bike feel. You can pin it through sections that would have you tapping the brakes on an old machine.

The details that matter

The new Double Drop Bar takes everything Canyon learned from the original Double Decker and packages it into something lighter and faster. There’s even a Gear Groove mounting point for computers and lights.

Forty-millimeter tires hit the sweet spot between grip and rolling resistance. The frame clears 42mm if you want more rubber. Integrated storage means you can carry what you need for long rides without looking like a rolling circus.

The Grail CFR tops out at $7,099. The entry-level CF starts at $2,899. SRAM Rival XPLR, Shimano GRX, and Di2 options across the range. Get all the nerdy details over at Canyon.com

This is what happens when a German company stops making compromises and starts building bikes that they dreamed of. That’s aligned with what we at Sekvens are all about: get out there and build what you dream of.
