Ollech & Wajs has released a new racing inspired chronograph named the Rallychron. This timepiece is a tribute to the golden era of motorsports and the legendary circuits.
Designed in collaboration with Hervé Charbonneaux, a name synonymous with classic cars and rally driving, the Rallychron pays homage to the iconic race tracks that have defined motor racing history. The bezel proudly displays hypothetical ‘perfect lap’ times for 11 of the world’s most renowned circuits, a feature sure to ignite conversations among motorsport aficionados.
The Rallychron’s design cues are deeply rooted in the 1960s, from its greyscale dial reminiscent of the era’s trackside photography to the distinctive black-and-white chequered baton hands that nod to the iconic racing flag. The watch features Orange Super-LumiNova® tips on its chronograph and 30-minute timer hands, ensuring optimal readability in low-light conditions.
Underneath its meticulously designed exterior lies a powerhouse: the custom-engraved automatic Valjoux 7753 movement. This modern descendant of the historic Valjoux 72 ensures the Rallychron is not only a nod to the past but a forward-looking masterpiece, meeting today’s highest standards of precision and durability.
The Rallychron is presented with two strap options: a handcrafted, perforated black leather racing-style strap and the M-Heritage stainless steel mesh bracelet. Both are designed for comfort and resilience, whether you’re trackside or navigating the demands of daily life.
Ollech & Wajs’s legacy in precision timing instruments for motorsports is legendary. The Rallychron is a testament to this heritage, offering a robust, highly capable track timer that stands in a class of its own with its 300 m / 30ATM water resistance rating.
The Rallychron will become a permanent part of the Ollech & Wajs chronograph collection, alongside the OW Astrochron and OW Navichron.
This timepiece is not just a watch; it’s a piece of history, a tool for adventurers, and a symbol of the relentless pursuit of excellence. Reserve your piece of racing history by emailing hello@sekvens.com
